Starting new churches is the most effective way to reach more and more people with the powerful gospel of Jesus Christ. The PSWC has a high priority to start strong churches that reflect the multiethnic and economic diversity of our 5 state region. We work with parent churches to provide planter assessment, training and coaching to help each new church fulfill its mission in their community.

The percentage of people attending all Christian churches on any given weekend in the PSWC region was 15.1% in 1990, 14.9% in 2000, 13.0% in 2010 and 12.5% in 2013. To just keep up with the population growth in our region, Christians need to start an additional 1,500 new churches every year more than are currently started. We are hoping to provide our fair share!

The PSWC has planted ninety-four new churches since January 1993 that are currently active, with a worship attendance of over 28,000 people on each Sunday.
